This zine focuses on any horror found within all three Splatoon games. This includes their DLCs and extra content like concept art.Possible Inspirations:

- Concept artARE REFERENCES TO OTHER HORROR MEDIA ALLOWED?
We allow a few pieces that reference other horror media. The only restriction is that they must be made to fit within Splatoon canon and not be direct crossovers.Examples:
- Friday the 13th but using the hockey gear at Camp Triggerfish
- Zombies as sanitized octolingsReferencing horror movie posters and book covers is also allowed.ARE OCs AND ORIGINAL HORROR IDEAS ALLOWED?
We allow both OC art and horror concepts you’ve created for the Splatoon world. However, these must also not be too far outside of established lore.HOW DARK CAN IDEAS BE?
While this is a horror zine, Splatoon is still a game with a younger target audience, so we will limit how mature the content can get. What is allowed:
- Moderate gore
- Body horror
- Psychological horror
- Death
- Jumpscares
- Certain phobias (Thalassophobia, Nyctophobia etc.)
- Surreal imagery
- Uncanny imageryWe will not allow:
- Extreme gore
- Sexual themes
- Depictions of drug use
- Depictions of abuse
- Depictions of suicide or self harmThese topics may appear regularly in horror, but for the zine we want to keep it somewhat “light hearted”. We do not want these subjects used for cheap shock value.
